Well we have had a very busy and very exciting year so far! So exciting that there hasn’t been much time to update the blog…. So let’s start where we left off: The Big Fake Wedding! This was a unique and fun opportunity to show off our flower skills!
Next up might possibly be our most exciting news to date. We got a brand new shop! Yes, that’s right Kacie Cooper Floral Designs has a brand new home, 4726 Poplar Suite 5. We still offer the same personal service and great prices as always, we just have a cute new studio to offer those services in. It was a lot of work, but we are so excited to have this new studio to work in and share with all our future brides and clients!
Well we really lucked out to have our new studio in such a great location. Normally neighbors can be worrisome, but we hit the jackpot to have some amazing neighbors! When you have amazing neighbors, well, you need to throw a party to celebrate and that is exactly what we all did! We had our very first open house and it was a great success! We had so much fun we are already talking about throwing another open house party soon! Stay tuned for details so you can be apart of our next awesome event! Here are a few pictures from our first open house.
2015 is officially the year of the peach garden rose. It was my most requested flower for bridal bouquets. Despite having similar flowers, I think each of these bouquets have a distinct look that reflects the Bride that carried it!
I have exciting news! Kacie Cooper Floral Design will be participating in the Big Fake Wedding on March 3, 2016!!
The Big Fake Wedding℠ is a bridal show alternative complete with an emotional ceremony, a tasty dinner and a dance-party reception. “Wedding guests” are brides-and-grooms-to-be who get to truly experience the wedding vendors in action.
Wow! This barn wedding at Mallards Croft was amazing!
My team and I did the flowers, but the Bride’s Mom did ALL the designing, styling and hard work for this event. She raised the mandevillas and ferns, cut logs for the centerpieces and had the tents and chandeliers brought in!
The Bride, Ellie, carried a gathered bouquet of white hydrangeas, ruffled garden roses and white calla lilies. Her bridesmaids carried all white hydrangea.
The Groom and his Groomsmen are all avid duck hunters, so instead of flowers, we used duck feathers for the boutonnieres!
The outdoor ceremony took place in front of a HUGE rustic wood cross that we wrapped in grapevine and white dahlias. Pews were rented for seating.
The centerpiece of the reception area was a large cypress stump topped with hydrangea, bells of Ireland, dahlias and cattails. Overhead was a custom made iron chandelier. Mercury glass candle holders and vases and gold table cloths added a touch of elegance to the dinner tables.
Venue: Mallard’s Croft in Byhalia, MS
Pew rental: Affordable Party Rental
